OLED Lifetime Test System

The 58131 Lifetime Test System is designed specifically for the OLED industry. Model 58131 provides twoquadrant constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) stimulus to each OLED panel and acquires electrical and optical characteristics automatically. Two independent and isolated precision source-and-measure units (PMU) are incorporated in one modular card, which is capable of testing two OLED panels. Additional instrument cards are added to expand test capacity. Hot plug and play is a key feature of 58131. When a UUT fails or an instrument card needs to be replaced, 58131 does not have to be shutdown and testing continues for other UUTs. Hot plug and play obviates life test cycle restarts due to isolated faults and significantly improves life test efficiency. We firmly believe that hot plug and play capability should be mandatory for all lifetime test systems.

The Colorette 4 serves for precisely measuring the colour of ground roasted coffee. By means of the stripping device, the sample to be measured is prepared and afterwards positioned at the measuring point. The Colorette works according to the principle of reflection measurement. A ground coffee sample to be measured is illuminated with a white clock-pulsed LED. For colour value determination, the reflected light is thereby captured by a sensor. The determined colour value is afterwards indicated on the touch screen. The indication in different scales makes it possible to use the device flexibly and to adapt it individually to the requirements. The photometric specifications of LEDs must meet very high tolerance requirements regardless of whether they are to be used in general, automotive or other specialist lighting applications. This is often a problem since the manufacturing tolerances of LEDs can be higher than those permitted in the end-use applications. Also, LED binning by LED manufacturers in order to classify LEDs based on their tolerances is performed with flash mode testing using pulsed current flow. However, end-use applications of the LEDs often operate in constant current mode and with significant thermal effects. The sophisticated LED processing industry therefore requires measurement devices that can be used for both manufacturer-compliant pulsed mode, as well as constant current operation mode. When the LEDs are run in constant current mode, the junction temperature has significant influence on the performance and lifetime of the LED. RINKO EC (ARO-EC)
Aquatic eddy covariance method is a powerful technique to measure benthic fluxes. The robust RINKO EC (model name: ARO-EC), as a new member of the RINKO series, is designed for aquatic eddy covariance measurements. The RINKO series is based on the optical (phosphorescence) principle which is now widely known as a remarkably fast response oxygen sensor with high accuracy. The response time of the RINKO EC oxygen sensing foil is less than 0.5 s (90%, from air to water at 25 °C). The foil life-time is more than 200 h, which enables at least 1 week of continuous measurements of dissolved oxygen. Moreover, the foil can be replaced easily by the user. Berg et al. (2016)*, after a detailed evaluation, concluded that RINKO EC is a reliable alternative for aquatic eddy covariance measurements of oxygen fluxes and its high data quality allows for new opportunities for eddy covariance flux studies, including long-term deployments in rivers, streams, and marine environments.

PIN photodiode is a kind of photo detector, it can convert optical signals into electrical signals.This technology was invented in the latest of 1950's. There are three regions in this type of diode. There is a p-region an intrinsic region and an n-region. The p-region and n-region are comparatively heavily doped than the p-region and n-region of usual p-n diodes. The width of the intrinsic region should be larger than the space charge width of a normal p-n junction. The PIN photo diode operates with an applied reverse bias voltage and when the reverse bias is applied, the space charge region must cover the intrinsic region completely. Electron hole pairs are generated in the space charge region by photon absorption. The switching speed of frequency response of photo diode is inversely proportional to the life time. The switching speed can be enhanced by a small minority carrier lifetime. For the photo detector applications where the speed of response is important, the depletion region width should be made as large as possible for small minority carrier lifetime as a result the switch speed also increases.
