Test Fixture, Shielding Effectiveness
EM-2108 | 1.5 GHz – 10 GHz
The EM-2108 is a standard test fixture for evaluation of the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (SE) of planar materials. The fixture is a section of coaxial transmission line broken to allow the insertion of planar test materials. Although ASTM D4935-10 is currently limited to an upper frequency of 1.5 GHz, the EM-2108 meets and complies fully with both the impedance and SE requirements called out in ASTM test method D4935-10 up to 10 GHz. These results are shown in Figures 1 & 2. The measured data relates to the shielding effectiveness due to a plane wave (far field EM wave) from which near field values for magnetic and electric fields may be inferred.

Tests show that FixGenius’ rule-based probe-mapping algorithms reduce pin deflection by up to 25% compared with traditional fixturing packages. If a solution is mathematically possible, FixGenius’ algorithms will find it, and pick the one with least deflection. It comes with a separate triaxial (special screw-type) female connector and a High Voltage BNC (special type) female connector. Designed to provide factory assembly line conveyor based pneumatically actuated full test automation. Interchangeable pneumatics and manual lever options provide operation as a fully automated tester or as a manual bench top tester. These functional interchangeable options allow this fixture to grow with you as your production volumes increase. Test plate changeover is a quick 2 minute job. 4 thumbscrews to change the bottom plate and 4 SHC screws to change the top plate. The top plate drops down and slides out with the connector assembly. The bottom plate lifts up and out. The new plates slide back in. All rear panel connectors are mounted to the aluminum bracket on the top plate. This whole top plate assembly slides out together eliminating wiring hassles. Double sided access plate sets use transfer pins to get the signals from the bottom plate up to the top plate.

The TA-334001 is a Dual Servo Electrical Test Fixture made to be an equivalent substitute for the Honeywell test fixture T-334001. The test fixture front panel duplicates all the proper switch numbers and descriptions so the technician can follow by the book testing. The panel overlay text is reverse screened (backside) to insure that text quality will not degrade over time. All the appropriate test jacks are provided on the panel for servo pin and bracket breakouts. This fixture provides for the switching of motor direction, clutch, tach selection, synchro selection, limit switching and polarity relays. Panel meters are provided on the test fixture so that the technician can monitor the servomotor voltage as well as clutch voltage and current.
