Micrometer Positioning Stages

Positioner LD
The DVTEST LD Positioner is a two-axis elevation over azimuth positioner, for precise angular positioning with full spherical coverage. The LD Positioner is designed for the precise characterization of lightweight devices. The positioner is constructed from a low-permittivity polymer, for minimal reflections and multipath. For increased accuracy, the motor is outfitted with an absolute encoder, and laser guided calibration. The product line supports NRZ and PAM-4 multi-level signal connectivity and builds upon MACOM’s long-standing expertise in equalizers for broadcast video applications. The equalizers can support up to 112Gbps per lane data rates for 50 Gbps to 800 Gbps copper cable assemblies. In addition to copper cables, the linear equalizer can be used for wired backplane and on-board applications. Adding linear equalization to a passive copper cable can enable the same copper cable to carry higher data rates for longer distances. MACOM’s new linear equalizer product line can extend a typical copper cable’s performance to 7.5 meters at 56 Gbps and 5 meters at 112 Gbps data rates. Positek linear sensors use our own patented inductive sensing technology packaged in very durable housings. With a comprehensive range measuring from 1mm to 800mm and most products available with intrinsically safe approval. Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder applications can be satisfied either with the P100 style cylinder sensor, the internally mounted P106 linear sensor or any of our other externally mounted linear sensors such as the stand alone P101. For submerged applications we offer IP68 sealing to 10 bar from our S114 and S115 submersible linear sensors and 350bar from our S125. The complete range of linear sensors is very customisable with many mounting, electrical and connection options. Customisation of most of our Linear, Rotary and Rilt sensors is routine given the excellent flexibilty of our sensing technology.

Linear Array
Linear array sensors consist of a linear array of integrating photosensing pixels which measure incident light over a user-defined exposure time and generate a voltage or digital output which represents the light exposure at each pixel. The sensors are available in a variety of lengths and pixel resolutions. The analog output may be directly interfaced to an ADC for digital processing or for comparing black/white thresholds. Applications include contact image sensing, optical character recognition, edge detection, and object measurement in products such as copiers, document scanners and spectroscopy.
